ESP has been in the undercarriage parts and repair business in South Africa since 1987.
ESP is an authorised distrbutor for the following undercarriage brands:
- Berco (since 1987)
- KBJ (since 2012)
ESP has 3 fully equipped undercarriage workshops based in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
ESP’s largest undercarriage workshop is in Johannesburg and consists of 3 track presses, 2 idler rebuilders and a grouser-matic. In addition, Pinetown has 3 track presses, 2 idler rebuilders and a grouser-matic. The same applies in Cape Town. ESP’s staff complement is 125 of which ESP’s Undercarriage staff complement, consists of 50 members, which is broken up into 20 sales staff (12 of these are field salesmen), 30 workshop and warehouse staff.
In order to manage the logistics for its undercarriage repair services, ESP has a fleet of 5 trucks (1 x 8 ton, 1 x 7 ton and 3 x 5 ton).
ESP’s undercarriage repair service includes:
- Rebuild idlers
- re-shell rollers
- re-strip grouser shoes
- re-rim sprockets
- turn pin and bush
- refurbish track frame
- Refurbish buckets
- Refurbish track adjusters
ESP stocks in excess of US$6.0m of undercarriage components consisting of link assemblies, grouser shoes, rollers, idlers, sprocket rims and track bolts and nuts suitable for popular earthmoving machines such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, O&K, Fiat Hitachi, Hitachi Zaxis, Sumitomo, Doosan, Bell, Volvo, Samsung, Sany, Hyundai and Kobelco.
